Hillary Clinton dives deeper into the muck

March 6, 2008

Today Senator Clinton’s communications director Howard Wolfson issued a statement saying

“Our point here is to point out that after a campaign in which many of the questions that voters had in the closing days centered on concerns that they had over his state of preparedness to be commander in chief and steward of the economy, he has chosen instead of addressing those issues to attack Senator Clinton, I for one do not believe that imitating Ken Starr is the way to win a Democratic primary election for president. But perhaps that theory will be tested,”

Now, ignoring for a moment whether or not it’s a good idea for the Clinton campaign to bring up the Lewinski scandal, this is further evidence of Senator Clinton digging herself deeper and deeper into the slimy politics she was once supposedly disgusted with. This is after Hillary made a statement that sounded more like someone vying for the VP nomination of the Republican party rather than a Democrat:

“Look, I have said that Senator McCain will bring a lifetime of experience to the campaign, I will bring a lifetime of experience and Senator Obama will bring a speech that he gave in 2002. I think that is a significant difference.”

This is possibly the first time a presidential candidate said that the opposition party’s candidate would be a superior candidate. She’s made it clear that she cares nothing about the Democratic party or the people of the nation and is only concerned with her own political power with her numerous statements that have destroyed Democratic unity. Hillary’s lust for power may give the Presidency to the Republican party, which apparently she would be perfectly happy with.
